The event will be held in DCA when Morag McLean (see below) will talk of her exciting career as a sculptor and special effects maestro - working on productions ranging from BBC's Dr Who to the latest Scooby Doo movie - for over 20 years.

Morag will talk of the difficulties of being an artist first then coming into a business world with all it's learning curves, learning how to know her own worth (financially) and issues involved in working alone. Morag will also show some short video clips of her works.

There will be opportunity for questions - leading to a group discussion for approximately half an hour.

The event will be a great opportunity for you to meet like-minded individuals at all stages of their career in film & television - from students through to established producers.

About Morag McLean:
Orginially from Leven, Morag McLean studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art before heading to London for a job with Madame Tussauds. After a short speel with the famous waxworks museum, she was offered a job at the visual effects department of the BBC. During her time with the BBC, Morag created special effects for a whole raft of popular programmes including Dr Who, French and Saunders, Dave Allen and Top of the Pops. After several years with the Beeb, Morag moved to Canada and worked on several Hollywood blockbuster movies. She's currently taking a short career break and lives in Perthshire.
