Digital agency Dare has joined forces with Watford and Brunel colleges to launch an educational initiative designed to spur young creatives into entering the ranks of digital advertising.

Dare's input will take the form of a "creative surgery" incorporated into the final degree modules for existing courses in art direction and copywriting.

Moreover, as part of the intiative at least one graduate team will be recruited from Watford College each year by Dare. In turn, one student per annum from the Brunel multimedia technology and design course will be provided with a one-year placement to train in online design.

Students will be set a live creative brief from a dare cient and will have lectures delivered by Dare creative directors Flo Heiss and James Cooper.

Dare for their part, will be able to avail of the technical facilities at Brunel for live projects, which includes blue-screen filming - recently used by the agency to film the alternative ending to Sony Ericsson's Walkman phone TV ad.

Speaking about this educational initiative to Brand Republic, James Cooper, himself a Watford alumni, said: "The Brunel and Watford students have loads of energy and ideas. It's great to be able to help them in their courses and give them their first jobs."

About Dare:
Dare is a digital marketing agency which was founded on the core belief that strong ideas lead to better business results. They specialise in three areas: website development, online advertising, and email marketing.
